Sins of the Father

Micron on paper linework. Digitized in Illustrator. Color added in Photoshop.

“I will show you something different from either
Your shadow at morning striding behind you
Or your shadow at evening rising to meet you;
I will show you fear in a handful of dust.” – T.S. Eliot (The Wasteland)

Sometimes the deepest wounds come from the people we love and care about the most and sometimes the only way to overcome those wounds is to transmute the pain, the blood, sweat, and tears from something meant to break us into something beautiful. Healing can be a long arduous process. This art print serves as a reminder that regardless of the “sins” we’ve endured we can stand empowered. We are sovereign, dark, majestic, beautiful beings regardless of what has happened. We can twist the ugliness of this world and turn it into something beautiful, if we so choose.
