Bat Patch – Printed in light purple ink on black canvas fabric.
When Tim and I lived in our tiny one bedroom apartment, we shared our space with a colony of bats. My favorite thing to do was to sit outside on fall evenings and listen to their chatter while they flew around looking for food. One day they were gone and we noticed the complex had put up screens where their home used to be. I assumed an exterminator had been called. It was a very sad day. Bats are such magnificent creatures, though main stream america might be terrified of them, those little guys had come to be apart of my life.
I drew this up in honor of them.
